The Challenge
The client needed to develop a social media for pet owners and their pets in order to promote their discount programs and provide the users with their tools (ownership calculator, appointment calendar). The client required us to use Buddypress (a plugin that turns Wordpress into social media).
Social Media Functions
Petopia users are able to create profiles for their pets, create, post and comment content, create communities and get involved into group activities.
Calculator
Ownership calculator is a tool that allows Petopia users to predict a monthly budget of having a pet. This is a very important feature for those who care about monthly spendings and household budget planning.
Project Results
The client got a social media that allows the users to:
a) create, share and comment content
b) calculate ownership and medical costs for their pets
c) manage medical and healthcare needs of their pets
